Life lately... plus Art Source 2026

Hello there,
How are you? I don't know about you, but I blinked and somehow the summer gone! Perhaps it's an age thing, but they do seem to whizz by faster each year don't they? Now we are well advanced in to Autumn and I feel I've barely drawn a breath.
In my defence, there's been an awful lot happening! A house move in September meant packing up and saying a sad goodbye to my little studio at the end of the garden. It caught me a little off-guard just how emotional it would feel. As a family we have been craving more space for a long time, so when we came across a fixer-upper in the Wicklow countryside, with bags of potential, it was too good an opportunity to refuse. We are loving the big skies, clean air and having sheep and cows as some of our closest neighbours! I feel like I'm in my car an awful lot more, the trade-off I suppose, but not one I'd swap back. Nature has always been a huge inspiration on my work so it will be interesting to see what impact the move has and in what direction this next chapter of my artist journey will take me.

Of course it's meant loosing my studio space, well, for now at least. With plenty of work to do on the main house, it may be a while, but I will just have to get creative about where I paint for a while! There's a dilapidated garage I've earmarked as the perfect spot to build myself one, I just need a rich patron to sponsor me or come across one of those money trees I've heard mention of and give it a vigorous shake!

I'm slowly managing to crunch through the chaos of moving boxes and just in the nick of time, as I have great news! I am thrilled to be returning to exhibit at ArtSource in the RDS, Dublin, taking place from Friday 13th - Sunday 15th November 2026. As always, you'll find me on the upper gallery level at stand K6. I'm often asked why I don't choose the lower level. Simple - I prefer the more laid back atmosphere upstairs. I feel it's a space you can linger, away from the crowds and take your time to admire my work.

If you'd love to visit the show, I have free weekend passes available for all my subscribers, simply email me with the number of tickets you'd like to request: artistgmd@gmail.com
And if you are super quick, I have some limited tickets left for the Private VIP preview evening on the Thursday 12th November.

I am looking forward to showcasing some new pieces alongside my print collection, so I really hope to see you there.
Now, back to finding that money tree...
Namaste,
Gavin

Blessings to you, Gavin, as you continue to get settled! Blessings for a great show!!!!
