Hello,
Hard to believe isn't it, but just like that November has drawn to a close and all eyes turn to Christmas!
You might have seen my recent email and Instagram post regarding Green Friday offers. For the month of December I am encouraging you to shop small Irish business and support artists and makers. You can get €10 off any of my prints and 10% off any of my original paintings, with 20% off if you buy two or more.
I'm also delighted to let you know I have dropped a series of ten small paintings measuring 20x25cm in to the Doorway Gallery, Dublin as part of their Christmas Stocking Filler exhibition, which runs every year with an amazing line-up of artists. https://www.thedoorwaygallery.com/exhibition/the-doorway-christmas-show-2024-stocking-fillers/7714/
This new series created especially for The Doorway, continues my love affair with painting irish interiors still life scenes in rich oils, with my signature moody and atmospheric style.

The Christmas show officially opened on Saturday 30th November and it was such a thrill to see them hanging in the gallery. I loved seeing customers reactions to the work and am happy to report a sold sign up on one of them already! Â I was able to take my Mum along to the opening, a truly lovely moment.
The exhibition runs until 24th December and includes some incredibly talented artist's paintings. Thank you to Denise and Deirdre for featuring me in the show and your support.

In the meantime, I'm starting to dream up and plan some new work for 2025, trying to strike the right balance between new directions and trusted formulas. All this whilst wrapping up year end in the day job and of course the busy social calendar this time of year brings. Never a dull moment! I'm sure like me you are counting down the days until the Christmas break. A chance to spend time with family and friends, oh and some painting time in the studio of course.
Talk soon,
Gavin
Oh, what a wonderful way to celebrate and share more of your art! So happy to hear your mum could join at the opening!! So special!
Congratulations Gavin, the paintings are beautiful and look amazing in the gallery. Can't wait to see them in person.
